INTERESTING DATA JUST RECEIVED ON TAXES

This is something you should be aware of so you don't get blind-sided. This is really going to catch a lot of families off guard. It should make you worry.

Proposed changes in taxes after 2008 General election:

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN

0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples) McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA

28% on profit from ALL home sales

How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN 15% (no change)

OBAMA 39.6%

How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN (no changes)

Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K-tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)

Single making 30K -tax $8,400
Single making 50K -tax $14,000
Single making 75K -tax $23,250
Married making 60K -tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750

Under Obama your taxes will more than double! How does this affect you? No explanation needed. This is pretty straight forward.

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA - Restore the inheritance tax. How does this affect you? Many families have lost businesses, farms and ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will not only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA

* New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet

* New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already)

* New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity)

* New taxes on retirement accounts and last but not least....

* New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!

Help Wanted

Would anyone know of business manager looking for work?  Or maybe he want to experience that field since he couldn't find one job who would just take his college training as most business requesting that position to have 2 year's experience?

I am looking for a business manager with some college training or some experience in that profession who also based his religion on his relationship with Jesus Christ alone as well as agreeing to the Bible as his moral absolute.  He have to believe that anything is possible, and would do his best to help my dreams to happen.  I would want him to be within 20 miles radius of Ephrata, PA.  Being my business manager would means working on the computer at home, make some phone calls for me, do bookkeeping, do sales, and also learn some Eastern practices such as martial arts.

Thanks if you would find or think of someone.  If you can think of someone, give him my email address: deafdemophile@gmail.com.

Last month, I send an email to everyone on my list that Internet is down and I wouldn't be able to take videophone calls.  Now we have Internet back and you can make videophone calls anytime.  Email me if you want VP number.

Few weeks ago, I accidentally send out an invitational to join me on Reunion website.  I got an email from a friend, inviting me to be part of Reunion, and as usual, I go around on that website, being curious.  In reality, I was looking to see if Reunion would be better than Facebook or MySpace.  It don't look that much different.  If anything, Facebook is far better than any social networks I have known.  Few people join to be my friend on Reunion, but I have to pay to view their profile.  Facebook is free.  Mostly because of this, I deleted my account with Reunion.

Of all social networking websites I have looked at and used, Facebook is much better.  You can post links to convince people to look them up.  You can chat online with your friends without downloading any program as do MySpace.  You can synchronize Facebook notes with your blog, providing your friends to keep posted of your updates.  That is something MySpace can't do.  About the only benefit of MySpace have over Facebook is you can change the layout and have your own website pleasing to your eye.  But that's about it.  I am much for usefulness than beauty, so if you want to be my friend on any social networking website, make it Facebook.

Thanks and have a good day.

July 23 update

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

It is much sooner since I last wrote an update.  But the last time I wasn't in mood.  And I don't feel like I was covering everything, but even then, I didn't know what to cover.  I can't remember minute-to-minute details, so a rough summary should do...

However, I got an reply about Disney as part of devil's world.  I never knew that before, and so I decided to google up that information.  To see if that person is just being paranoid.  Surprisingly, I found that she is not alone.  There are other people who thinks the same.

Walt Disney wrote his name, expertly including and concealing the number 666 in his name.  He himself is 33-degree Freemason, whatever that means.  And also the movie that was based on C.S. Lewis novels, The Narina Chronicles, talks about Faun, which is Greek God of Pedophiles or something like that.  I find that bit strange, but I did recall that Narina Chronicles were supposed to be an Christian allegory, but apparently, it is strongly Catholic.  I did recall that mere reading that book makes me feel "at risk".

It is obvious that we are slowly moving toward the Satanic world.  Even there are modern prophecies that remind the reality of Revelations.  What bothers me is that we as Christians don't stand in the gap for America.  America is still the world leader, and it is obvious that it is losing out consciousness of God.  Why?  I really think it is because Christians are losing their power as well.

There are so many churches today, and I wonder what God thinks.  I get the feeling that God is finding it ridiculous how people wouldn't share communion with others who worship the same Lord.  And sometimes I wonder what would happen if we suddenly get the glimpse of eternal about those who split churches but still worship the same God.  It is no wonder that we are losing power.  I even got thinking that 2 Timothy 3 (especially verse 5) could apply to those who don't recognize Mark 16:16-18 as part of Christian lifestyle today.  After all, just because you are a member of a church does not means you are a member of THE church...or vice versa.

I got my own business card recently, and the quote I chose to be on it is "Be the change you want to see in the world."  I am starting to be convinced by that motto.

There is a Lincoln parking in the parking lot at Keystone Koating.  Yep, a new guy at work.  The way he walks and all makes me wonder if he is bit stuck up.  Maybe I should give him a fair trial.  No doubt, he could be hailed from college, being married for 3 weeks.  And with that, I should ask him if he have Facebook.

I got done reading that book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad.  Rather fascinating book, if you ask me.  It is what got me going.  In fact, when I read that book, I felt I have the making of successful man, if I am committed.  So that would be a uphill battle for me to be committed and stay committed.  Why successful?  Because I have developed a habit of trying to be objective.  There is always two sides to everything and there are always a reason behind everything.  And everything is linked to each other, whether we like it or not.

Like for example, reflexology cannot be proved by science, but it persist to exist.  People who experience them felt positive afterwards.  We all know that the Bible did mentions that when one member hurts the other member hurts with it.  We may say that is Paul's description of church, but it could also means our physical bodies.  While feet is not directly connected to other organ, but it certainly is directly connected to the brain which controls the whole body.

Then Doctor Schultz talks about going barefoot can be beneficial to health.  Should that surprise us?  If we consider God's omniscience, it wouldn't surprise us all that much that He would make our feet and hands to be somewhat linked to every parts of our body to "massage"  in order to maintance our health without us thinking.

Because of that book, I decided to join groups on Facebook.  Groups that would share informations necessary for successful life.  Like for example, real estate and profiting online.  There are writer's groups as well as Christian groups.

I found there are many groups concerning Jesus the only way.  I also saw a group that say they are proud of being Christian.  I suppose Apostle Paul did say he boast of Jesus Christ, but that don't mean he is proud of being a Christian, or even so being an apostle.  However, it is important to know where we stand and why.

Well, I guess my spring went dry, so I will write more next time.

July 19 update

Falling Economy.
Rising Prices.
Federal Reserve running out of options.
Social Security have deadline.

We are sure hearing those things these days.  I have read already that it is similar to 1970's.  I wonder if my parents would remember how things were.  Yet, reading history shows that people certainly survive through Great Depression.  Surely, we would be no different.

I was planning to write this update email a week before I went to Florida.  But pending thunderstorm cause me to reconsider.  Well, when there is thunderstorm, I always get in mood for a good game.  But sadly, there is no one to play the game with me.  I suppose I could play solitaire, but I am in mood for a social life.  Play cards or anything.  I know how it was my sister always were in mood to read.  Ah, looking back it is obvious that my love language is quality time, if you read that book, Five Love Language, you would understand what I am talking about.

I recall that in my last updates, I forgot to mention that I got an upclose encounter with robin and her nest.  I watch the hatchings get out of nest in April.  Keystone Koating is renovating the place.  They started in January and now it is July.  They are not done yet, but they are hoping to change the line in September.  I got a new supervisor in April and he hoped that I would stick around until they are done are.

Oh dear, I don't know what to write about.

After the thunderstorm that Tuesday the Internet is down.  Leon talks about how I must be crying to be living without Internet.  I smiled and felt bit amused.  Apparently, Leon' don't allow room for gray areas.  Well maybe more than apparent, it is obvious.  Even if I am an Internet addict, it does not means I would go crazy if it is down.  There are libraries and other places where I can get access, even if it means it won't be as often.

That thunderstorm downed 15 phone poles and twist off tree branches.  VP went dormant.  I am thankful to have it all back last Friday evening while I went to ASL social.

That trip to Walt Disney was fabulous.  But it would be much more better if I had a girlfriend.  Fabulous fireworks is a good romantic moment.  I tell you I sure would like to go again next year if I have the money to do it.

What stood out about my experience at Walt Disney is when I put my nose in a book.  The book titled, Imagineering, was talking about Walt Disney and his dreams of theme parks and such in Florida.  But what jump out to me was the riddle.  "How many imagineers would it take to change a light bulb?  Imagineer would ask, "Does it have to be a light bulb?"  Perhaps that jump out to me while visiting the Magic Kingdom.  The classic castle called Cinderella's Castle was built on basis on that fairy tale, but it is there to "prove that dreams does come true."  The Main Street is a relic of small-town feel that long time ago have, such as during 1940's to 1950's.  Or maybe late 1800's as Walt Disney was born in 1889.

I stayed at Coronado Springs Resort.  I was surprised how cheap the hotel room is, if you divide up with your friends.  And what's so nice about Walt Disney is they do have exceptional service.  Interpreters at theme parks and then they give you a free ride from and to airport.  They can give you tickets to airline right at the resort.  They took care of your bags right at the resort.  It is really nice, and I felt so rich being there.  It is like having servants wait at your feet.

Plus, the landscape is exceptional.  The architecture is exceptional.  It is all so beautiful, but I noticed there are few people that looks like they had spat or whatever.  It is obvious that Walt Disney with all their dream-like atmosphere did not solve the real problems.  Especially if a child isn't taught not to be greedy, self-centered.

There isn't much new other than that.  I can't remember anything new.  I apologize if I am not really inspired to write a loooong update email, explaining to finest detail that women enjoy knowing.  Too bad, I can't think like women who like to think details.

I didn't go to any amusement parks that had deaf day in June, and I don't plan to attend one in August.  In fact, I am thinking of taking on the second job, but I didn't learn to fight for it yet.  My parents never taught me to be a fighter, to be a man.

I would have to learn it myself, somehow.
